Situated in a patchwork building at the edge of the Brume, the main areas of the house are open to the public for drinks, art parties, respite, conversation, or companionship. LGBTQIA+ owned and operated, this space is for everyone that knows what respect means.For the adventurous, the wine cellar opens some nights as a small fight club.

1. This is an 18+ venue. Adult themes are played out in the RP taking place at this venue, and no inclusion of minors is permitted. For the safety of our patrons and staff, this goes for players and characters alike. Adult Lalafell characters are permitted in the venue, but under no circumstances are they to be included in any content of a lewd or sexual nature.2. Don't be a dick. This seems like it goes without saying, but the Burrow is a space where staff and patrons both have a right to feel safe. If you cannot do your part to maintain that environment, you are not welcome in it.3. This is a consent-based RP space. Unless there are specific events happening that have been mechanized for the purposes of fairness and expediency (fights, card games, etc.) everything that happens in this space is at the discretion of the people it's happening to. While we as players love a juicy bit of IC drama, make sure all players involved are on board with whatever it is you want your character to do to theirs before going forward.4. Flirtatious and suggestive RP is welcome and encouraged. Please keep all ERP to private modes of communication (party, tell, Discord, etc.) - Thank you.5. If there are events that require some degree of mechanization to work (the digital equivalent of rolling dice, generally), they will be announced before beginning. Participation in those events will be considered as players consenting to that game/event's level of introducing an element of random chance into outcomes. If that's not your cup of tea, that's okay! Spectators are generally very welcome, and continue to fall under the rule of negotiated consent.6. Patrons should change their status to RP when inside the venue, and avoid using other status signifiers. Some of them are used to indicate staff and various offered services, and we don't want to cause an incident because someone accidentally propositions another patron instead of the courtesan they assumed they were. Courtesans available for hire will have a green Looking for Party tag and all other staff will have yellow Looking for Meld Materia tags.7. This venue is open for RP 24/7 (unless occupied by a private party of some kind). That being said, even if none of the staff are online or inside the venue, please understand that in the world your characters are experiencing, there are always NPC staff about the place. Disruptive behavior would still get those characters asked to leave by said staff. If you want to have your character(s) get up to some shenanigans at a time when the venue is not staffed by present PCs, please reach out to Lysander Myste to discuss it.8. All companionship services will be negotiated with the courtesan before booking. They may refuse any contract for any reason. They may stop any contract for any reason at any time - No refunds will be granted.9. The kitchen space in the back of the venue is not part of the interior designer's art - It is for the amusement of the staff of the venue. We promised we would note this publicly. Art Parties
Artists are always welcome at the Burrow and anyone is welcome to model impromptu, we do also occasionally host more structured art parties. Models will be paid for their time (30 minutes each starting from 7:30pm PST) and artists are encouraged to share their works. Model Sign Up
If you would like to sign up to model at one of the Burrow's art parties, this can be done through Discord. All models will need to be comfortable with others creating art of their character in various mediums, both in character and ooc. Models for art parties will be compensated 50k gil for their time per half hour slot.Models will be required to make profiles that can include any limits on the type of art they are comfortable with and any details about the character not present in their in-game model.

2. Decks of Cards and Sets of Dice
Please form parties for card games and use /dice party for mechanics.Five Card Draw:
Objective: Have the best hand in play.
Mechanics: Bet if betting. Then each player 'draws' five cards using /dice party 14 five times- Suits are not used. Once everyone has rolled five times, compare hands in party chat by typing out your results in order like the example hands below. Matching hands are compared by high card. True ties split the pot if betting.

This dice game is played against the house. Please ask a host or bartender for availability. All rolls are handled in /random 6
Objective: Roll 7 or 12.
Mechanics: Bet if applicable, spectators may place bets on the rolls of others. All bets are handled privately, though the house will wait for a betting period if they are occurring.
Roll /random 6 twice, add the totals. A 7 or 12 is a winning roll, anything else loses.
3. Never Have I EverYes, really. Inform your bartender you wish to run a game and for a nominal fee they will supply drinks to those who lose a round. Please drink responsibly.^Rules: This is a drinking game. Characters take turns making statements about things they have never done (or claim to have not done.) Others who have done the stated action must drink. ^If someone suspects a lie, they may point to the claimant and call them a liar. If they were lying, they must finish their drink and no one else drinks. If they weren't, the accusor must finish their drink.

First opening its doors in the wake of the Dragonsong War, The Burrow is not the type of establishment someone would expect a Knight of House Fortemps to run.The Burrow is built right at the edge of the Brume - A boarding house made of a patchwork of homes that took severe damage during the attacks of the Dragonsong War. After the series of properties were purchased by Lysander, he set to renovating them, connecting them with old servants stairways, and converting the whole thing into a large boarding house. The boarding house itself is well maintained, but the landlord charges almost nothing in rent. Rooms are available for residents of the Brume and refugees who need a place to go. It's a place of refuge, safety - Where no one need go hungry or cold. His tiny piece of keeping a dream alive that he could not bear to see die.On a more self-indulgent level, the Burrow is a place where those Ishgard might look down upon can find like minded individuals. Artists, philosophers, queer folk, outsiders, the lonely, the sexual - It is a place where thought and discussion is encouraged. Drink is plentiful, hedonism encouraged, art appreciated. It is a place to call home, if only for an evening. Always with a warm fire and a friendly face.With that being true, it is on the shoulders of the rest of the establishment to pay for the Burrow's good works and free thought. Rooms can be rented for temporary private use, drink is reasonably priced. The real gil maker, however, are the courtesans that call the Burrow their place of work. The proprietor himself is one such, and though he charges a small house fee on all contracts, he is known for treating the workers with respect and dignity. Not to mention that he runs a tight security ship - Harming one of the workers is a one-way ticket to the blacklist.Recently, the menu has also been expanded as a small bistro, and renovations in the old wine cellar are being made to provide a venue for a small fight club. The fact the proprietor has also gotten engaged likely has something to do with it.Magitek consultation and alchemical services are also available for those who know how to ask.

Fight Mechanics
Fighters will join a party with the announcer. All fight posts should be written in /shout chat.
All fights have a 20 minute time limit, please keep things moving.
First fighter to land 3 attacks wins.1. Each fighter will use /random for their initiative. The higher of the two roles will go first.
2. Winning initiative will write their attack post, leaving the outcome open ended. Both fighters will /random again.
3. If the attacker's roll is higher than the defender's, the roll lands. If the defender's roll is higher, it does not.*
3*. Counter attacks: If a defender's roll is 500 or more HIGHER than the attackers roll, the defender will make a counter attack. Both parties should /random again. Counter attacks may not be Countered in return. If the counter fails, it is ignored.
4. The defender writes the reaction to the initial attack (including any successful counter attack) and then their own attack in the following post. Both parties roll /random again.
5. The fight continues on in this fashion until someone lands 3 attacks or time runs out.
6. In the event of a timeout, the fighter with the higher score at the end of 20 minutes wins. In the event of a draw, sudden death in the form of a final /random will determine the winner.
